The UK Nations Rivalry was created after the split of the United Kingdom for the seventh contest in Tórshavn. The four nations England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all have their pride at stake. After Scotland's embarrassment in their debut, by failing to qualify from the quarter final with 'Sing' by Annie Lennox - the only of the UK nations to fail to make the final, Scotland needed to restore pride and so sent emerging youngster Yasmin, who managed to finish top of all the UK nations in Madrid.
Following this, a 'league table' was created for the UK rivalry. 5 points would be awarded to the top UK nation, 3 to the 2nd UK nation, 2 to the 3rd UK nation, and 1 to the bottom UK nation.
England are currently the top UK nation.
